Weed Management Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking a licensed chemical applicator to supervise our weed management and pond maintenance. In this capacity the supervisor will be responsible for developing treatment plans and managing crews tasked with implementing noxious weed and pond water quality management mostly in Teton County, ID.
Job Type: Seasonal, April - November
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay: $20.00/hour
Work Location: In person, 1499 S 6000 W, Rexburg, ID 83440
Responsibilities:
Identify Idaho’s noxious and nuisance weeds
Safely prepare and administer chemical treatment applications, according to product label instructions, for the control of noxious weeds in existing plant communities
Apply weed treatments in preparation for native plant or wildlife food plot seedings
Travel to multiple projects with differing objectives within the same day
Ensure worker and environmental safety by implementing precautions to avoid unnecessary chemical exposure and spills
Map and track progress of treatments across multiple projects involving multiple people
Maintain spray equipment to maintain reliability and longevity
Work with administrative staff to accurately track and invoice clients for work completed
Safely operate mechanical spray equipment including ATVs and UTVs
Safely transport equipment to jobsites and between jobsites using trucks and trailers etc.
Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain Private Applicators license through the state of Idaho (fees paid for by North Fork Native Plants)
Ability to work independently and within a small team to complete jobs safely and efficiently
Clean driving record
Experience in the chemical treatment of noxious weeds
Experience with operation of ATVs and UTVs
Experience in hauling of equipment using a truck and trailer
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Basic mapping and GPS skills – OnX, Garmin etc.
