Native Plant Products
Since 2003, we have been cultivating a diverse array of native wetland, riparian, and upland plants in various formats.

Wetland Sod
Wetland Sod is an instant way to establish native vegetation on shorelines and stream banks. It is a mix of coir erosion control matting and wetland plants grown hydroponically to maximize root growth for immediate anchoring and improved soil cohesion. Assuming the appropriate hydrology, Wetland Sod can be rolled out on any wetland or riparian site to provide immediate aesthetics, soil stabilization and weed suppression. The mature plants found in Wetland Sod have minimal soil requirements and can tolerate fluctuating water levels in just a few weeks. Wetland Sod is quick and easy to install, simply roll it out and stake in place.
10 Cubic Inch Plugs
We specialize in the growing of many different species of wetland, riparian, and upland plants. Most commonly grown in a 10 cubic inch “conetainer”. Historically many of these species are produced on a custom grow basis and not generally kept in stock year around. Please contact us for your custom grow needs and check out our current inventory availability.
Biologs
Biologs are an ideal way to establish sedges and rushes along steep, erosion prone areas where extensive grading is not practical. They are custom grown with native species that are fully rooted throughout the coir matrix. The dense coir logs provide immediate erosion control while the native plants root into the substrate to increase bank cohesion. Coir logs have minimal soil requirements and can tolerate fluctuating water levels in just a few weeks. They are usually only available on a custom grown basis.
Bare Root Wetland Plants
Bare Root Wetland Plants are a cost-effective and “green” solution to traditional wetland plant material alternatives. Because bare root wetland plants are propagated entirely outdoors, they are hardier and have a smaller carbon footprint compared to containerized greenhouse materials. Like containers, bare root plants are easily installed using a traditional dibble stick and hand tamping. They are typically planted on 6-9” centers into 6” of good soil and fill in over the course of 1 - 2 growing seasons. We currently offer bare root plants in bulrush, sedge, spike rush and rush species.
Large Containers
We offer potted riparian willows and native upland trees and shrubs for restoration and landscaping applications. Potted native plants are an affordable way to establish woody vegetation on any site. When combined with Wetland Sod, they are an effective bio-engineered stabilization technique on low-gradient streams. Native plants also provide valuable wildlife habitat and blend most aesthetically within the environment.
When matched with appropriate environmental conditions, native plants are usually best suited for low water and low maintenance landscape settings.
