This site had previous issues with attempting to get Wetland Plugs established due to hydrology and waterfowl depredation.

To combat these issues over 150 Wetland Sod Mats were installed and 2,000 plugs within the 32 acres of Wetlands. The Wetland Sod helped naturally contour the river banks to promote river connection to the floodplain. heavy waterfowl use could feed on the Wetland Sod, while leaving the root system intact.
