Featured Project

Client: Intermountain Aquatics
Location: Jackson, WY
Project: Three Creek Golf Course
Date: 09/2006

Challenge:
Regulatory permitting requirements called for native wetland plant establishment in wetland zones surrounding nine lakes at 3 Creek Ranch. Furthermore golf course managers demanded an aggressive timeline for immediate aesthetics. Re-vegetation was designed to improve lake circulation (algae inhibition), achieve instantaneous aesthetics, safeguard water quality by buffering shoreline erosion and golf course turf inputs and provide habitat for wetland-dependent species.

Solution:
Vegetation installed during 2004 is protecting and stabilizing newly constructed lake edge wetlands from wave action, erosion from fluctuating water levels, weed invasion and elk herbivory. Additionally many waterfowl and shorebirds are using re-vegetated habitats. The golf play area / surface water interface, vegetated with native wetland plants, is providing an attractive, functional system.
